Vehicle seizure

Good Morning,

Wednesday 30th September 2026 whilst out on mobile patrol Neighbourhood Officer's sighted a motor vehicle that looked un roadworthy .

Having carried out the relevant  checks it was confirmed  that the driver had no driving licence and no motor insurance ,the vehicle was subsequently seized under section 165 of the road traffic act.

A short time later the same officer's were allocated to a road traffic collision involving a child on a illegal electric bike.

The bike was seized and his parents summonsed to court for allowing their child to ride a illegal bike on the road.

Whilst dealing with this incident a friend of the child approached officers on their illegal electric bike which was also seized.

Both electric bikes will be crushed.
